Background
Siihasin Hope participated in a peaceful protest at the University of New Mexico and may be charged with 40K worth of alleged damages to the Student Union Building. They are not being accused of doing any of the damages themselves; rather, prosecutors allege that their presence alone is enough to incite people to violence or civil disobedience. Please take a moment to contact the UNM President, UNM Regents, UNM Provost or UNMPD Chief to respectfully request they drop the charges. You can also support Siihasin directly with living expenses as they go through the court's process.
