Podcasts and webinars are an excellent way to share your message with a larger audience! They also enable people to connect across differences—you don't need to be in person to do a podcast together! For example, on The Word in Black and Red, I appear with guests of different faiths from across the United States, and the host records from England.
Whether you show up as a guest or host, podcasts and webinars are an excellent way to expand an audience’s experience of the diversity of the Body of Christ! Below, you’ll find just a few examples of the many podcasts and webinars I’ve hosted or participated in. Transcripts are included for those who'd prefer to read the text.

Podcast Description:
Welcome to the Word in Black and Red, where we read the Bible from a leftist and liberationist perspective to elucidate the way people of faith and their comrades can understand the Bible as a source of healing, love, and liberation for all people.
Episode Description:
December 4, 2023. Join Micah, Pastor Sarah TevisTownes and Rabbi Sarah Noyo for a deep dive into Genesis 23. What caused Sarah's death? Why is Abraham negotiating to pay for something offered for free? And what did Sarah f-up and find out? Hear some answers to these questions and more on this week's episode of The Word in Black and Red!
Additional Notes:
Host Micah Benji Belong and guest Rabbi Sarah Noyo and I met on TikTok and are all members of the #progressiveclergy squad. This podcast is intentional about highlighting leftist voices and voices of people from the global majority. Although it is a Christian podcast, it endeavors to highlight Jewish perspectives on Hebrew texts and also includes episodes with Pagan and Muslim guests.
You may hear Micah mention the Discord server. Discord is a social media and chat program, originally designed for gamers, where fans of the Word in Black gather to chat about episodes, interact with guests, and build a meaningful community. The Discord server is free. This podcast also has a Patreon account, where listeners can pay to support the podcast and get early releases. The podcast is produced by a fan of the show whose hours of work are evident in this podcast's fabulous production quality!

This episode was taped shortly before my DMin courses began; however, I am including it, because it gives a window into the earlier development of TikTok as digital ministry during the pandemic. The podcast itself is an excellent example of how a church pivoted during the pandemic and learned new ways to do "church" using digital ministry.
Podcast Description:
For way too long, Jesus, the radical revolutionary of the Gospels, has been held hostage by a domesticated, polite, and watered-down church. What does it mean to follow Jesus? How do we leave the comforts of our old and familiar church life and do the hard work that Jesus is calling us to do? How can we reclaim the identity of "Christian" as the revolutionary way of Jesus? In this podcast, Marta and Mandy explore these questions in order to help bring about God's kin-dom, on earth as it is in heaven.
Episode Description:
July 4, 2021. Pastors Marta and Mandy join Sarah TevisTownes, the Pastor and Teacher at Church of the Good Shepherd UCC in Albuquerque. Her TikTok Channel, @GoodShepherdABQ [now @Disorganized.Religion], is known for its comical sketches that share love and spill tea about topics ranging from the Bible to racism to self-care. Originally a pandemic project, Sarah now has over 100,000 followers [now over 230,,000 across TikTok and Instagram]. We talk about TikTok, digital ministry, and how we can grow together.
